Chris Dyer

President, Direct Marketer

1988-1989 - Chris started his career in the Direct Marketing trade when he took a position as Assistant Production Manager at Mail America, Fort Lauderdale, FL.

1989-1990 - He opened his first Direct Marketing business called American International Mailers, Fort Lauderdale, FL. This company focused on lettershop production services.

1991-1999 - Chris merged his client business with Strategic Marketing Systems (SMS). Hollywood, FL. Chris refined his knowledge of Direct Marketing during his initial years with SMS, working his way up the ladder until reaching the title of Vice President, Marketing & Sales. He worked at SMS and its subsequent owners, First Image and Accudocs for a total of 9 years.

2000 - 2004 - Chris joined Nordis Direct as the company's Senior Direct Marketing Specialist. After 3 very successful years developing and enhancing direct marketing programs for Nordis Direct's clients, Chris was asked to create a List Division. In the Spring of 2003, DataVizion was opened for business. A year and half after the successful launch of this new mailing list and analytics division, Chris decided to open his own list company.

Additional Biography

Chris has been a hands-on direct marketer for over 22 years. He has won two Max Sackheim Awards for direct marketing excellence and had been a frequent speaker on the subject of direct marketing principles, including speaking engagements with the Postal Customer Council, the American Marketing Association, the Florida Direct Marketing Association, the Advertising Club of Fort Lauderdale, the Public Relations Society, Nova University, Barry University and Florida Atlantic University, as well as speaking engagements for BellSouth ADVO and Baby Guard employees.

He had been very active working with the Florida Direct Marketing Association, holding positions of Director of Student Affairs, Director at Large and Convention Chairman for DM Days.

Chris has worked on several hundred direct marketing programs for many different industries. A partial listing of client experience includes American Express, BellSouth, Phillip Morris, JC Penney, Fairfield Resorts, ACSIA, Summit Technologies, LCA Vision, Florida Prepaid College and Life Extension Foundation.

Chris served one term in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Technician Between 1978 and 1981. He has an Associates Degree in Business from MCC, Rochester, NY 1984.
